THEIR BIG IDEA.
Schools can host their own Doing Things Pitch! challenge before the main competition. Students can compete within classrooms, grades, schools or participating districts, and schools determine how they want to structure their local competition within the official Doing Things Pitch! guidelines.
When a school registers it receives a unique school competition code. Winning students or teams may receive prizes and can submit their qualifying idea with that code for consideration in the larger Doing Things Pitch! competition — so the whole pipeline stays connected from classroom to stage.

Need help making it a party?
PITCH! PARTY FUND
Participating schools may request limited support to help make their local competition fun and engaging. Examples may include approved food, celebration supplies, student incentives or other approved competition expenses.
Pitch! Party Fund assistance is limited, subject to available funding, eligibility and approval. Registration does not guarantee funding. Requests may be partially funded or declined. Funds are available while allocated program funds last.
REGISTER YOUR SCHOOL
Educators, coordinators and youth programs — get your competition code and optional toolkit, and request Party Fund support in the same step.
ENTER THE BIG PITCH
Students — bring your idea, your answers and your pitch video. Submissions close MAR 1.
THE RULES OF THE PITCH.
ELIGIBILITY
Open to eligible K–12 students according to official competition rules.
ENTRY TYPES
Individual and team entries may be permitted.
ORIGINALITY
Submissions should represent the student's or team's own original idea and work.
PITCH VIDEO
Videos must comply with published length, content and format requirements.
DEADLINE
Pitch video submissions are due March 1 unless officially updated by Big Impact Alliance.
JUDGING
Entries may be evaluated on problem / need, creativity, solution, potential impact, feasibility, presentation and student understanding.
PEOPLE'S CHOICE
If enabled by administrators, selected entries may participate in public People's Choice voting.
ADVANCEMENT
Submission does not guarantee advancement.
PRIZES
Prize amounts, categories and distribution are subject to official competition rules.
PARENT/GUARDIAN CONSENT
Required where applicable for minor participants.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.
Who can enter?
Eligible K–12 students. Students may enter on their own or as part of a team, subject to the official competition rules.
Does my school have to participate for me to enter?
No. Students may enter directly. If your school runs its own local Pitch! competition, you can add your school competition code when you submit.
How long should the pitch video be?
Follow the published video requirements shown on the submission form. Shorter, clearer pitches usually score better than long ones.
Do I need a parent or guardian?
Yes. A parent or guardian must provide permission and consent as part of every student submission.
Is there an entry fee?
No. There is no cost for a student to enter Doing Things Pitch!
What is the Pitch! Party Fund?
Limited support participating schools may request to help make their local competition fun. It is subject to available funding, eligibility and approval.
Who sees my submission?
Only authorized Big Impact Alliance staff and assigned judges. Nothing appears publicly unless an administrator approves it for People's Choice, and contact details are never published.
